Acrylic Painting

In this acrylic painting course, students will learn basic techniques to create beautiful canvas paintings. Focusing on color mixing, color blending, and shadowing techniques. This class is meant to be fun, informative and a chance to learn and connect with how paint and colors can flow together on a canvas. Paintings can range from still life to landscape and some whimsical scenes as well. Any level of painting/art experience is welcome.
The supply list:
acrylic paint, 1 tube each in:
Titanium white (may need to purchase another as class goes on)
Primary Red (any red will do, Crimson may be too dark though)
Orange Red or Cadmium Orange Hue (any orange will work)
Cadmium yellow medium (any yellow will work)
Phthalo Green
Phthalo blue (phthalocyanine)
Dioxazine Purple (any purple can work)
Burnt Siena
Mars Black (any black will work)
1 Flat nylon bristle brush for painting backgrounds, about 1” wide (or width of a thumb)
1-2 round or flat nylon bristle brushes, (approximate sizes 6 and 8)
1 round nylon detail brush (size 0)
Canvas, stretched or canvas panel 12” x 16” is ideal, but nothing smaller than 11” x 17”
Easel, not needed but can bring
Disposable drinking cup for water
Disposable plastic coated paper plate for a palette
Paper towels
Students can bring whatever brushes they may already have. And can bring other size brushes as well. The paint colors are standard at any craft store, but there are similar shades you can purchase if you can’t find the exact ones listed. Make sure to NOT buy acrylic craft paint or matte acrylic paint.

Ballroom I ( Couples Only)
Multiple studies show the healthy benefits of dancing. This class is for beginner or intermediate students. Learn steps to the Cha-Cha, Swing, Rhumba, Waltz, and the Fox-trot. Wear smooth soled shoes that will slide well on the floor.
Beginner - Cricut Lessons
We will focus on setting up your machine and overview of design space canvas, menus, weeding, application, and materials. We’ll also cover how to import projects, customize designs, settings, modify, print and cut features. The instructor will email you the supplies needed for class. Please bring your cricut to class.
